To a very great extent. The event is known for its rich feeding stations with a varied and delicious selection of foods, snacks and drinks.
Unlike certain gran fondos, our feed stations are organized by local volunteers serving local delicacies and lots of real foods rather than energy products. There will, however, be energy drink available.
You certainly won't be hungry or thirsty during L'Etape Denmark.

How does the starting waves work?
On the 300, 160 and 125 km routes, the start is in waves of approximately 50 riders with a few minutes in between. In general, the fastest riders start first in order to minimize overtakings and dangerous situations.
When you register, you rate your own level and choose an expected average speed. This will determine your start time.
Specific for the 300 km: Here, there is a "slow" group starting 30 minutes ahead of the rest of the field in order to give the less strong riders a chance to reach the finish in time. This group contains only the riders with the slowest expected average speed.
You will receive your personal start time on mail approximately 1 week before the race.
How do I make sure, I start together with my team?
When you register, you can sign up as part of a team. You can either create your own team or join an existing one.
All participants on the same team are automatically placed in the same start wave, making it the easiest way to ensure that you start together with the people you want to ride with.
The person who creates the team chooses an expected average speed, which will determine the start time for the entire team.
Once a team has been created, everyone else can see it and join it. It’s also possible to set a password if you wish to keep the team closed or private.
What food and drinks are at the feed stations?
Each feed stations is organized by a local club and a team of dedicated volunteers. The club is responsible for running the feed station and helps decide what to serve.
That’s why we can’t tell you exactly what each station will offer in advance – although some items have become true traditions over the years.
Several feed stations serve local specialties, while others have become almost legendary for a particular dish – like the famous “Prairie Soup” in Nørre Snede.
You won’t find the same selection at every feed station – the offerings vary from station to station and route to route. However, you can always count on water, energy drinks, and a wide and varied selection of proper food, snacks, cakes, chocolate, bread, fruit, vegetables, coffee, and more.
Beyond the food and drinks, the feed stations are especially praised for their fantastic atmosphere and the energy created by the volunteers.
